My GOAL: A trip through the agencies of Latin America in order to get a feeling how adervtisement works here.
Your advantage: Get free help from an enthusiastic, ambitioned and engaged employee. I am prepared to work for you for 2 weeks until up to 2 months.
My advantage: I don't only get to know the design scenery, people and culture of Latin America, no, at the same time i am extending my horizon on a professional basis. Nothing is better than learning from real life!
My education: I have earned my graphic design degree from the Academy U5, one of the best advertising and graphic design schools in Germany, based in Munich. After three years of education, a six month internship at Saatchi & Saatchi Germany followed. Also, I have been working as an independent graphic designer for 3 years now.
Working my behind off in a stressful environment and always being under constant time pressure, thus sweating while struggling to come up with a great idea is definitely a challenge and fun at the same time, but in general it gives me the feeling of restlessness and tension. Don't you agree on that? Besides, especially in our profession it is important to hold a relaxed approach to projects and new ideas.
Hence, vacation! However, I am not looking for the all-inclusive vacation, where boring routines such as going to the beach every day after having breakfast in the hotel signifys everyday life, only at another place. Moreover, I am looking for a "holiday in an agency"!
I would like to animate and inspire others rather than just being entertained by a guest host by the pool. Instead of suffering chlorine poisoning in the same pool, I would rather prefer to bathe in ideas. Instead of getting a sunburn on the beach couch, I prefer to sit down upright in an office chair and work on concepts and many things more. Also, I always get my own coffee - don't worry. A buffet with exciting new and colorful impressions clearly tastes better than "all-you-can-eat-menus" of standard holiday organizers. I do not like to just lounge out at the beach and wait for new ideas. Concepts and interesting images come to one's mind at a new work environment, thus from a new impression. I don't believe in laying at the beach and relaxing in order to come up with a great idea. I need the working environment. Ideas come while working, appetite comes while eating.
Nevertheless, I would also like to get to know the people in your country, and I will try my best not to only infect you with my creativity, but also to learn from you. Be a part of my holiday, so you can relax a bit too. Lean back from time to time and allow somebody else to help you do your work - me. Please allow me to introduce myself: El GrafiGo - a holiday in an agency.
With your help, I would like to broaden my horizon. An intercultural exchange would allow me to look beyond the european edge of the plate. The cultural vacation a la El GrafiGo!
Where else could you get better ideas than on a trip through South America passing by inspiring location, such as the sugar loaf and many more. A trip that could also include the Panama Canal. While the Panama Canal connects seas, it is also a breakthrough into the world of ideas.
I am a young, enthusiastic and independent graphic designer. One year ago I concluded my communication design studies at the renowned academy "U5" in Munich. The U5 is rated to be one of the best design academies of Germany (famous lecturers and graduates are G.G. Lange, Hatto Kurtenbach, Marcello Serpa and many more). After that I worked for Saatchi & Saatchi Germany (Frankfurt). I was in charge of customers such as Emirates Airline, Schott Solar and Procter & Gamble (for blend-a-med and Ariel). Creating concepts is what i love to do. Next, I followed my big passion: travelling and gaining experiences. Thus I spent the last months in Australia. Sitting between kangaroos and koalas I became addicted to sponge up more inspirations. I wanted to combine travelling and working, thus this idea was born: a holiday in agency.
